Hey, I’m Jessica. Thanks for being here.

I am a polystylistic writer who has been on the wild journey known as ‘writing’ since I was 8 years old. At this point in my professional career, I’ve written and edited a lot. You name it, I’ve probably tried it. Each style has only made me better, and I love to translate lessons learned from one category to another.

As my day job, I draft contracts. I’ve worked for big financial enterprises, small companies, international businesses, and more. I combine my writing and research skills with my Juris Doctor training and long career in Governance, Risk, and Compliance initiatives.

I do creative and content writing as a hobby. You can find my writing on Medium, Patreon, Reedsy, and LinkedIn. I was first published as a young author in Teenink Magazine. My piece A Green Umbrella won an Editor’s Choice Award in 2012 and the Fiction Award in 2013. I went on to publish multiple pieces as a teenager and young adult in poetry & short fiction. I was too young and inexperienced in content management to neatly organize my records, so unfortunately, many of those pieces have been deleted or taken down over time. I am now working on re-releasing my early, previously published work on Patreon. I took a break from publication to work on a new novel series, the Chronicles of the Gandiva. If you like fantasy/sci-fi and piracy, you can read more about that project and others here.

I also do a lot of pro-bono non-profit work. What ties my career and passions together are the things I’ve always cared about - the joy of discovery and making the world a better place for all.

If you’ve read this far, you have my heartfelt thanks. I love to connect with people. Some great conversation starters for me: animals (did you see all the dogs on my website? I’m always surrounded by them in video games and real life), reading, writing, technology, or what brings you joy and why.
